Mission Statement

Tadpoles Childcare is committed to the highest standards of care and early learning within a safe loving environment. We promote independence through a wealth of learning opportunities, both structured and flexible. Our aim is to meet the individual needs of each child and to create appropriate curriculum plans so that each child is assisted in every way to develop to their full potential.

Staff

At Tadpoles Childcare we believe that having qualified, experienced and caring staff is the most important element in any childcare centre. We pride ourselves in our staff being highly qualified and up to date with any new childcare regulations.

All our staff must have up to date first aid certificates and attend on going training in health and safety, manual handling and other further training with the NCNA

Each child in our care has an individual key worker. Key workers complete monthly reports on the children’s development in the key areas of physical, intellectual, linguistic, emotional and social development. Twice a year we hold parent evenings, where key workers and parents meet to discuss children’s progress.

Menu

We understand that highly nutritious, good quality food is essential for each child’s development. All of our meals are prepared using fresh produce in our specially designed on site kitchen by a qualified cook. We endeavor to provide low sugar, low sodium home cooked meals. Tadpoles will adapt to suit individual dietary requirements or specific food choices. Please find below a sample of the delicious and varied menu at Tadpoles

Safety and Security

Entry and exit from our building is controlled by CCTV. We also have controlled internal entry and exit points and intercom systems in the building so that no person can enter or exit the building without the knowledge of the staff members. Children are signed in and out and a detailed application form ensures there are procedures in place if anyone other than the child’s parents are due to collect them.

Parents must complete a detailed application procedure so that staff are aware of each child’s medical history and any special needs they may have. Each child has a daily record book which goes home with them every evening. The record book details each child’s sleep, meals, nappy changes/ toileting, medical administration and activities daily.
